Penguin Pointers – Merriment

penguinpointers

This is not a Christmas post so if Christmas is not your thing…fear not! I missed M yesterday because I got a new computer and the Mr. was setting this bad boy up for me. So today I will be playing catch up…let’s dive in!

M=Merriment.

The definition of Merriment is: cheerful or joyful gaiety; mirth; hilarity; laughter.

Well I want as much of that in my life as possible!

Speaking from the perspective of wanting to find my inner Penguin yet also dealing with an anxiety disorder, I can tell you that sometimes merriment is a choice. I’m well aware that for some people that choice is not always available, but most of the time we can choose to look at the world around us and find the moments of merriment.

For me, I find most of those moments in the safest place I have…at home, with Steve and my Son and of course my sweet Vivi.  But I also know that I can find those moments outside of my comfort zone and to be the best me that I can be I must be bold and explore and jump more and more often.

There is so much that life has to offer and if we don’t choose to grab it we will become stagnant. Life will feel stagnant. That’s not healthy and it’s certainly not helping you reach your hearts true desire.

The easiest way to add merriment to your life is to simply be open to it. Go with the flow. Take some chances..join in…seek those moments out if you can. That course of action will immediately open you up to all kinds of merriment!

  1. Hi Nikki!!! Great post ❤ I'm back from my retreat, and it was a pleasure to read this. And I agree… merriment is a choice. A great quote I love is "If you want to be happy, do happy things." ~J-R
    Many blessings, my friend — Debbie xo
