Gratitude – Louise Hay

Gratitude is one of the simplest ways to change your life and the life of those around you. Beginning your day with gratitude is the perfect way to enter into your day with a positive light, energy and attitude. It’s as simple as thinking about the things in your life that you are grateful for while cooking your breakfast or brushing your teeth. Get lost in the shower for a few life changing minutes.

Steve Harvey talks about spending 10 minutes each day listing things in he is grateful for…just in his head. Some people write them down and that rocks, but you don’t even have to do that. Just thinking about all that you have to grateful for will kick-start your day.

Ending the day with gratitude is a beautiful way to find appreciation for all that you’ve done or seen that day. My night time gratitude list is very different than my morning list. I focus on things that happened THAT day and you’d be surprised at how many things you can come up with even when you think you’ve had a crappy day.

It takes mere moments, but it gives you this awesome bookend of gratitude and once you start seeing all that you have to be grateful for…your list (and awareness) will grow and blossom and you’ll wonder why you waited so long to start.

Plus where there is gratitude there is joy and who doesn’t want a big old pile of joy to sprinkle all over there life?

Happy Friday!

  1. Hello Nikki,
Such a lovely post. I find gratitude comes in waves and sometimes out of nowhere I can just feel content to be doing something or just ‘being’ with someone.
A great topic always, for a post. Thank you πŸ¦‹βœ¨πŸŒˆ

      1. I kind of thought they were Nikki. You always reply but I hoped you’d check sometime in spam. It’s certainly not something I do often though. So thank you. The other hint something was amiss was when I sent each one, I’d see your ‘comment’ tally add one, then in an instant, it reverted back by one.
I couldn’t really send you a message to tell you…πŸ€”
It would have gone to the same place…Hope you’re having a great weekend πŸ™‹πŸŒŸπŸŒŸ

      2. WordPress can be so fickle. I went through a spell where all my comments on others blogs were going to spam. I had to post about it because there was no way for me to notify people. WP couldn’t figure out why it was happening. If it happens again…I have a contact me button at the top of the page and you can shoot me an email. πŸ™‚

  2. You gave me a gratitude journal many years ago. I have looked at it a few times. It is a amazing how the end was so much different than the beginning. I think it is time to get another one.
