I took this picture while waiting to pick up my son on campus. Vivi was extremely curious about what was going on all around her. I watched her for quite awhile before she decided she was ‘done’.

It got me thinking about curiosity. I am ridiculously curious. When I hear about something that I’m not sure about I immediately (or as soon as possible) go in search of more information. I don’t consider myself to be book smart. (Not beating myself up here) but I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. I want to know everything.

I agree with Mr. McGill. Β I think that curiosity is one of the great secrets of happiness. So never mind that silly ‘curiosity killed the cat’ stuff! Β Look at how happy my girl is.

It adds spark to your life. Opens doors and inspires creativity! It keeps things new and fresh and of course interesting. If we were not curious….we would easily become bored and life would be stagnant and I don’t know about you (yes I do!!) but I can’t imagine being happy in a boring and stagnant life!

What was the last thing your curiosity led you to learn about?

ps…this is what Vivi looked like after her curiosity had been satisfied~

Thanks for Reading~

  1. Methicillin-Sensitive Staphylococcus Aureus, or MSSA – usually (but not always) a healthcare-associated infection.

My mister is a renal patient and has dialysis three times a week at a nearby dialysis center. Nine days ago he was admitted to the hospital with a 103-degree temp and pneumonia. Blood cultures later showed the root cause was MSSA. I’d heard of it, but knew very little. Curiosity and concern for my husband led me to dig through the Internet, and question everyone.

I now know more about MSSA than I ever wanted to! 😏

  2. YES! Curiosity is essential for progress (and I love how you say a secret to happiness!!!!). SO TRUE! And this is one of the cutest pups I have ever seen. *ALL THE HEART EYES*!!! What type of dog is she?!

    1. Thank you Mackenzie! I think she is too. She is the sweetest dog you could ever come across. She is a mix..and she was a stray so the vet says she is a Chiweenie. (Chihuahua/dachshund) but we think she also has some terrier in her. She is my girl. We adopted her for my son and while she adores all of us…I’m her favorite. πŸ˜‰

  3. Vivi is so beautiful! I am also curious. I google things constantly. If I don’t know about something, and obviously there are a lot of things I don’t know about, I google it. I often think that if I had the means to do it, and was physically able to do all the travel and hours it would take, I would love to do genealogy research for people. I’ve only tinkered with mine and there’s a lot I don’t know but I have enjoyed every minute of it. It’s like a giant jigsaw puzzle and every little piece of information is a piece of the puzzle. I think curiosity keeps things interesting!

  4. Hello Nikki,
A great post and a great question!
Curiosity about how my new iPhone worked when I received it a year and a few months ago.. I wanted to know what the camera features were and before long, I’d signed up with an online iPhone photography school. It changed my life and its a huge part of why I’m here blogging.
Thank you for a lovely post πŸ’πŸŒŸ

      1. Hello Nikki! Curious is certainly good…
It’s called ‘iPhone photography school.’ Is absolutely recommend it if you enjoy photography or even if, like me, you didn’t even know you enjoyed it 🌟🌟

  5. I’m a curious person too. It annoys me how people try to shade you for curiosity but whatever. In the end, I’m learning more than them. πŸ˜‰
