Call Your Shot – 6/12

calltyourshotweek2flyingthroughwater

Well another Monday is upon us and instead of dreading it, I hope you’ve made it a good one. I normally do my weekly card draw on Sunday afternoons but this weekend was hectic so I did it today. Each week I like to ‘call my shot’ so to speak and make a plan…focus….and I utilize my affirmation cards to do this.

The cards I pulled this week are all pretty awesome!

Lot’s of love which is never a bad thing and setting clear, positive intentions.  I can do that. I need to do that.

Last week I talked about owning my power…taking it and allowing myself to be the strong woman I know I am. I focused in on a new schedule and I think I rocked it.

I started working on my book. I wrote the intro and started chapter 1. This is HUGE for me. I’ve never made it this far before. I normally edit the same couple of paragraphs over and over and over until I get bored or give up.  I feel very proud of myself with the work I’ve done so far. It’s so important to take these wins when we get them. To celebrate…even if it’s just a mental high-five with ourselves! It’s a win and a win makes everyone feel good!

This week I need to tweak the things that didn’t work last week and I still need to manage my time better. I’ll do this with compassion because I’ve made a lot of changes lately. Change takes time. I need to remember that!

So what about you? What are your intentions this week? Let me know by calling your shot below!

Happy Monday!

  2. So great to hear Nikki. You absolutely should be so proud of yourself, one step at a time, chapter by chapter, you’ll get there. Looking forward to a great week ahead. 🙂

      1. Hello Nikki,
You are very welcome. I can feel your dream as if it were mine and I know how much a little encouragement means to help us to ‘just start.’
I’m honestly so happy that being kind to yourself enabled you to fill in that blank screen…
        I’ll support you any way I can…
        hugs from me 💕💐

  4. Well done, Nikki. Just keep writing! If you find progress difficult, try just writing in a stream of consciousness way – just let it flow out, even if it doesn’t always make sense or sound pretty. You can always go back and edit at a later date. Just getting a block of stuff down is a great way to start!

Me, this week? Carrying on with the current novel and blogging! Have a good week.

  5. Congrats on your wins!! A high-five is definitely in order 🙂
Time management is definitely still a big issue for me. It was nice to just take a break while in Scotland and reassess my goals. I constantly feel that the time I’m devoting takes precious time away from the limited time my children will still be home.
I am working on segmenting my writing/instagramming/blog reading into a more specific slot of time instead of just all day, every day.
Best of luck on your book!! 🙂
